Raquel Ferreirinha (b. 1984) is a Portuguese visual artist based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Awarded a Master of Arts in Photography (Distinction) by Falmouth University in 2024.
Through her practice Raquel honours and elevates the everyday. While weaving her personal narrative into her pieces, she makes space for the audience to imprint their own stories onto the work. The viewer is invited to slow down and notice the extraordinary in the mundane. Acknowledging that the personal is - as much as ever - political, Raquel’s still and moving image work aims to shine a light on the shared textures of the in-between life that brings us together in what seems to be an increasingly polarised world.
